1936 Austin 7 Ruby
|
Yet another motor car that has been hidden away, this time since 1994, during which time it has been in dry storage. Prior to this, the car has had a lot of restoration work carried out.
This car is very solid, but would be greatly improved by a repaint. It needs recommissioning, and we have not had it running, but the engine turns nicely with the handle, with good compression, and the brakes, clutch and gearbox all operate freely. Good upholstery.

1934 Morris Minor
|
Where do we keep finding these - this car has been in a showroom as a display item for the last 19 years. It is a very original motor car, with excellent period fittings including door panel map pockets, central accelerator pedal, manual advance and retard, vacuum windscreen wiper, sunroof and even the rear curtain, which is operated above the driver's door.
It is in splendid condition, and we think it was probably repainted prior to its showroom days, so it is nicely patinated.
This car runs and drives but there are a few minor jobs needed prior to MOT - simple jobs.
Price as is, £4,950

1934 Austin Ruby
|
This car has been off the road since 1997, and now requires restoration as can be seen from the photograhps. It appears to be sound underneath, with good wings, fuel tank, and wheels. The engine has good compression, and could be made to run quite easily.
The car appears to be complete, and we have the V5 document.

1950 MG YA Saloon
|
An unrestored example of the ever-popular MG Y Type Sports Saloon with the benefit of a sunroof. The car is in its original black livery, with green interior, and has obviously been well maintained over the years.
It has, however been off the road since 1990 and is now in need recommissioning, including some work to the brakes - other jobs are only minor.
These cars, when fully restored, can fetch anything up to £15,000. The bodywork is generally in pretty good fettle, but could be improved. The car has good chrome work, including two new bumper bars to be fitted, and there are four brand new tyres. An easy project to get this car back on the road.

1930 Morris Minor Fabric Saloon
|
Offered for sale is a delightful, unrestored Morris Minor, which has been off the road for some 25 years. The car has stood on blocks, and engine and wheels all turn freely. The car has a very interesting history, and is well known to the relevant clubs, last winning a concours in 1964 in Vienna - sadly, it wouldn't win one at the moment! The car has a fabric body, and lots of period features, note the folding luggage rack, superb steering wheel, vacuum windscreen wiper, and central throttle pedal.
In our opinion, it is so unusual to find such an original, unrestored car, that it would be a pity to over-restore it, but it does need work to get back on the road. A real gem for any private collection.
A part-exchange would be considered for another interesting pre-war or immediate post-war vehicle.
