Original Globes
These splendid glass globes were used to advertise the many
different brands of petrol available for sale from the typical
1920s to 1960s pumps. Globes are becoming increasingly collectable
and desirable and are the perfect fininshing touch to your petrol
pump. We normally offer a small selection of original glass
globes, with prices starting from around £300 – our
current available stock is pictured below.
In addition, we usually stock a few original plastic globes from
the 1960s. These are priced from £60 plus delivery.
Reproduction Globes
Alternatively, you might decide to purchase a reproduction globe (especially if this is to be located outdoors or within ‘striking’ distance of children or pets!). The reproductions we have for sale are of excellent quality, are made of glass, like the originals, and there is a good variety to choose from (see below). The main difference between these and the originals (apart from price) is the way the lettering is applied by way of a transfer, rather than the original ‘etched’ method. Prices for reprocuction globes start at £170 plus delivery.
